Girls in Cub Scouts

Posted on Nov 24 2018 - 6:46pm
For those older female cub scouts interested in learning more about the status of a BSA Troop for Girls...there will be a Girl BSA Troop starting in both Crofton and Annapolis in February 2019!  Regarding Girls in Cub Scouts:  Each pack is given their choice to be all boys, all girls, or both.  Our pack committee and chartering organization (the MACC) decided it is in our best interest to pursue including girls in Pack 111 for several reasons:

Congratulations Ms. Jen!!

Posted on Jun 23 2018 - 6:06pm

Pack 111 wants to congratulate Jen Schooley for being recognized with a very special award at Camp Tomahawk - she received the prestigious “Anderson” award for her over and above dedication to Camp Tomahawk and all the scouts. This award is voted on by the Admin. Staff and past recipients. She received a very special rubber chicken with a tutu in typical Jen fashion.

God and Me Badge

Posted on Jul 16 2017 - 8:25pm

The God and Me Badge class for Tiger, Wolf, and Bear Dens (Grades 1-3) will be held at the MACC on August 7, 14, 21, 28 (all Mondays) from 5:30-6:30pm.  The Scouts should sign up on the Website.  Each Scout will require the God and Me Book that costs $4.50.  I will purchase the books for all scouts once we have a final count on the website.  There will be homework between each session.  Uniform is Class A.  POC is Erik Iliff, erik_iliff@hotmail.com, (520)508-8106.  I need scouts to registar online for the sessions prior to 5 August so I will know how many books to purchase.  Scouts do not need to attend the MACC for church to attend the God and Me classes.

FRIENDS OF SCOUTING

Posted on Apr 12 2017 - 1:06pm

Last pack meeting we heard a presentation on Friends of Scouting from my good friend and fellow scouting volunteer, Bell Carty.  For those who weren't there, Friends of Scouting is a campaign within our Baltimore Area Council to offset the "behind the scenes" costs associated with running the larger scouting program in our area.  It costs about $185 per year per scout beyond what each of us pays for pack fees and national registration fees to support scouting activities such as operating costs for camps at Broad Creek Memorial Scout Reserve, merit badge days, training over 4000 leaders, and providing camp scholarships for those in need.  I want to thank everyone who joined me in making any type of donation at the pack meeting.  If you did not have the chance, but still want to contribute, you can do so online at http://www.baltimorebsa.org/support-scouting/friends-of-scouting/30031 where you will also learn more about why your support is so important.  There is no obligation to contribute, but all donations go directly towards helping improve the scouting experience for youth in our area.
